Review: Film review – Mission: Impossible (1996) – I alternated from 5 to 6 on the rating for this and came down on the generous side. The reason is because this kind of spy film is not my kind of spy film (I’m a John Le Carre, gritty realism type) but I think that most other people will appreciate it more.

The pace is good and there’s lots of fun being had with gadgets and disguises but I struggled believing in the plot I’m afraid and thats where it lost me. On the upside theres plenty of action, Tom Cruise will no doubt keep the women amused and there’s Kristen Scott Thomas for the men (unless your taste is more along the lines of Emmanuelle Béart).

Just about keeps you entertained for the two hours but not one you’ll need to watch often I suspect.
